Dr. Mina Ibrahim

Dr. Mina Ibrahim is a Minimally Invasive General, Bariatric and Foregut Surgeon with specialized fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery.

Dr. Ibrahim completed his medical education at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He further advanced his training through a General Surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by additional residency years at RWJ Barnabas/Rutgers – Monmouth Medical Center and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. During his residency, he served as the Surgical and Academic Educational Chief and logged over 1,600 cases, excelling in minimally invasive techniques and receiving awards for his achievements in the field including the Outstanding Minimally Invasive Resident Award during his 4th year of training.

Dr. Ibrahim completed a Minimally Invasive Bariatric and Foregut fellowship where he was a Clinical Instructor at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. In this role, he performed and managed complex bariatric and foregut surgeries, including para esophageal hernia repairs, duodenal switches, and revisional surgeries, utilizing both laparoscopic and robotic techniques. He is also trained in advanced endoscopy, further expanding his expertise in gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr. Ibrahim is actively involved in research, with numerous publications and presentations at national conferences. His clinical and research interests include minimally invasive weight loss procedures, management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in obesity, and innovative approaches to foregut surgery.

He holds certifications in Robotic Surgery and is a member of several esteemed organizations, including the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). His dedication to both patient care and medical education continues to shape his distinguished career in surgery.
